Experience and intuition. Those are the ingredients to the secret sauce that makes Bowden Homes Aspen’s premier luxury real estate development firm. We are full design-build, and we relish the creative process behind every detail that goes into making a house a home. It’s why even our renderings are works of art. How will the room flow? Where should the furniture sit to best facilitate gathering places, as well as more cozy escapes? The largest of rooms can and should host intimacy.
We give space purpose. Founder and creative director Bob Bowden has been in the business for more than four decades, and there is no better teacher than time. The lessons he’s taken from every project, every client relationship, has only sharpened his intuition about what separates exceptional design from merely good enough.
At the heart of everything we do is making sure that every one of our clients – whether for a full design-build, a remodel or simply interior design – receives a sense of home. That’s why “home” is right in our name.
Meet the team
Bob Bowden
Behind every Bowden Home is Bob Bowden’s creative mind. Over the course of more than 40 years designing Aspen’s premier luxury residences, 72 out of 75 still belong to their original buyers.
Mark Janian
Originally from Boston, Mark made his way to Colorado by way of CU Boulder, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He has spent his professional career in the Roaring Fork Valley, first doing commercial construction.
Frank De La Torre
Frank brings a diverse background to his role. A Basalt High School graduate originally from Mexico City, Frank switched gears from aspiring to become an English teacher to pursuing business administration. He majored in accounting at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, where he outperformed nationwide peers in a challenging CENEVAL test before completing his degree. With a career in Aspen spanning 22 years, Frank specializes in individual and business tax preparation, holding an Enrolled Agent credential for IRS practice. Beyond numbers, Frank enjoys 80s and 90s music, American football (Steelers and 49ers), and is a devoted family man who cherishes beach vacations and quality time with his German Shepherd, Angel.
Enrique Bucio
Enrique came to the United States from Mexico as a Utah Tech University student, where he played Division 1 soccer and earned his degree in accounting. He enjoys working in construction because no project is ever the same and each project presents an opportunity to problem solve and learn something.
Nathan Snider
Nathan grew up in Montrose, Colorado, where he spent plenty of time on job sites with his dad, who worked in construction. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as it were: after attending Mesa State University in Grand Junction.
Trey Thorpe
Trey grew up in Old Snowmass and attended the Aspen School District, playing football, baseball, and ski-racing through high school. He spent lots of time around his family’s earthmoving company growing up. Trey pursued his higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder. His favorite aspect of construction is overcoming new challenges every day using teamwork and ingenuity to ensure the perfect finished product
